A timeline of key events for the Guyanese Association of Delaware over the years.

The Guyanese Association of Delaware was founded by Olive Barton in 1989. The first Guyanese Picnic was held at Banning Park in Wilmington Delaware in July of 1989.

In May of 2011, The Guyanese Association of Delaware Facebook group launches. The group remains active to this day.

On July 19, 2015, The Guyanese and Friends Picnic celebrated its 25th anniversary.

The Guyanese Picnic website launched in June of 2025.
